Davidson Arboretum

Deciduous Forest, mainly liquidambers
Local residents, Ken and Mary Davidson, spent approximately 20 years planting deciduous ornamentals, and to a lesser extent conifers, on their property, 'Homewood', in Highfields. In 2007 they donated a hectare of their lovely garden to the Crows Nest Shire Council, now part of the Toowoomba Regional Council.

Known as the Davidson Arboretum it includes some very rare species, and being mainly deciduous trees from the northern hemisphere there is a wonderful spectacle of Autumn colouring in May/June. The Davidsons wanted to ensure residents and visitors to the region will enjoy this display for many years to come.
